設計動機
在製造一把薩克斯風為求精準，因誤差而不可使用的零件、定期的零件升級，而造成大量的廢料堆積，這都是大量的浪費。
In order to make a saxophone for accuracy, parts that cannot be used due to errors and regular parts upgrades cause a lot of waste to accumulate, which is a lot of waste.
設計理念
台中后里的張連昌薩克斯風是台灣極具重要性的文化品牌，經過一系列的診斷，將循環經濟帶入其中，將這些零件從新拼裝，製成可發聲的周邊、DIY、裝置藝術三個品項。
Zhang Lianchang’s Saxophone in Houli, Taichung, is a very important cultural brand in Taiwan. After a series of diagnosis, the circular economy is brought into it, and these parts are reassembled to make three products that can sound peripheral, DIY, and installation art.
Material Island
設計目標
原本被廢棄而堆積的樂器重新找回新的聲音，除此之外，更是提升企業整體價值，為社會供一份心力。
The instruments that were originally discarded and piled up are regained with new sounds. In addition, it enhances the overall value of the company and contributes to the society.
