設計動機
隨著現今環境變遷與破壞快速，對自然生態造成衝擊，進而壓縮動植物的生活環境，而動植物是環境中的試劑，當自然環境改變時，動植物是最優先受到影響與衝擊的對象，但現今大眾對於生物與環境變遷與環境保育，沒有過多的感觸與共鳴。

設計理念

設計目標
藉由親子共學的形式，讓親子共同養殖昆蟲，落實生命教育與達成環境教育之目標，以STEAM教育之概念，藉由昆蟲作為媒介，親子共同養殖昆蟲、標本製作與標本保存的過程，讓孩童與家長了解，生物與環境之間是息息相關的，此外也可藉由本產品瞭解昆蟲之奧妙，提升孩童的自主學習能力與解決問題能力，了解生態的變遷。
